NOTE: This should only be performed if Rapid has confirmed they do not need the current Route data from the Handheld anymore!


If Rapid needs assistance in manually resetting one of their Handhelds due to either not knowing the current password, or Rapid Track not loading because of a DB related error, then have them follow these steps:


1. Perform a soft reset by pressing the Esc, Backspace, and backlight buttons at the same time.

2. Open My Device from the desktop.

3. Open the FlashDRV folder.

4. Open the RTK folder .

5. Delete the file named RapidTrack_Vxx.

6. Open the IN folder.

7. Select and delete all files using the Edit menu.

8. Go back one folder.

9. Open the OUT folder .

10. Select and delete all files using the Edit menu. 

11. Go back one folder.

12. Open the Sign folder.

13. Select and delete all files using the Edit menu. 

14. Go back 3 times to the root of My Device.

15. Open Storage Card.

16. Delete the RTK folder.

17. Close the file manager.

18. Launch RapidTrack from the desktop.

19. Click Misc.

20. Click Restore System.

21. Enter the default password of 1234.
