If you're printer isn't responding to your print requests, you can try the following steps to resolve the issue:

Navigate to "Devices and Printers" from the "Start Menu" and locate your printer under "Printers and Faxes" in the window that opens up. Use the following steps to assist with troubleshooting:

a) If the printer is shown in the "Devices and Printers" window but is grayed out like the image below, then this indicates that the printer is either powered off or disconnected from the network or your computer. You should check to make sure that all cables are connected securely and that the printer is powered on without any errors. There should be at least 2 cables connected to the printer. One is the power cable and the other will either be a network cable or a USB cable if the printer is directly connected to your computer.

b) If the printer is shown in the "Devices and Printers" window but shows a yellow exclamation icon like the image below, then this indicates that the printer is reporting an error and you will likely have to check the printer to resolve the issue. This could include problems such as "No paper" or "No Toner". If you left click on the printer in the "Devices and Printers" window, you may be shown more information as to what the reported error is.

c) If the printer is shown in the "Devices and Printers" window, and isn't either grayed out or showing any error messages, it's possible that you may need to clear the print jobs and try to print again. To do this you can double click on the printer in the "Devices and Printers" window and it will show the print queue. In this screen if there are jobs that need to be cleared, you can highlight one or multiple jobs then right click and select "Cancel". If one or more jobs do not clear you should try restarting your computer to see if that helps.

If non of the above steps resolve your issue, please create a ticket or contact the Helpdesk.
