If your Computer Monitor is not displaying anything on the screen, you can try the following steps to resolve the issue:

  1. Check for Power.

First you should check to see if the monitor is powered on. The main power button is usually located in the bottom right of the monitor. If there are no lights shown by this button, you should try pressing the button it to see if the monitor comes back on.

If you have tried pressing the power button and the monitor still doesn't power on, you will need to locate the power cord and check to make sure that is securely connected both in the back of the monitor, and at the power source. Make sure that it's plugged in securely to a known good power outlet. If you are unsure about the power outlet, you can try connecting another device temporarily to check for power. If you found that something was wrong with the power cord and you believe you have fixed it, you can confirm by trying to turn the monitor on using the power button as described above.

  2. Check the Input.

If you have confirmed that the monitor is getting power but is still not displaying anything on screen, you should next check the input the and input settings.

    a) First check to see if the computer you are using is turned on. If you cannot get the computer to turn on, you will need to consult the "Computer not turning on" solution which can be foundĀ here.
    b) If the computer is turned on and there still isn't anything displaying on the monitor screen, you should check that the display cable is securely connected. Start by looking at the back of the monitor to locate the display cable, and check to make sure that is securely connected both in the back of the monitor and at the computer.
    c) If the display cable is connected securely at both ends and there still isn't anything displaying on the monitor screen, you can lastly check to see if the correct "Input Source" is selected from the settings button of the monitor. With this, you should be able to either select "Auto" or specify the type of "Input Source" you're using by identifying the display cable from the image below:
